Aspire Reax Mini Review and Guide: Best Mini Mod of 2019?
We’ve received the memo; mini mods are hotter than they’ve ever been. Vaping coils have gotten more efficient, and today’s coils are able to generate huge vapor clouds at surprisingly low wattages. Just a few years ago, it was beginning to seem as though a two-battery box mod was going to become the bare minimum equipment that you’d need if you wanted to have a really good vaping experience because even the average-quality vaping coils available at the time were beginning to require power levels over 80 watts. Today, though, things are different. Thanks to more efficient coil designs, mini mods have become more viable than ever – and the Aspire Reax Mini might be the best mini mod of 2019. Let’s learn more about it.
Have you made up your mind already? You can grab the Aspire Reax Mini right here for just $27.77! The Reax Mini works great with the Aspire Tigon tank.
What Is the Aspire Reax Mini?
The Aspire Reax Mini is a mini mod that redefines the level of performance you can expect from a small and highly pocketable vaping device. It has just two buttons – a mode button and a fire button – and the actual device is barely larger than a typical vaping tank. It’s a surprisingly powerful device, and you can wrap your entire hand around it. The included Aspire Tigon tank also has some convenience features that we’ve never seen before. We’ll discuss those shortly.

Aspire Reax Mini Review: What’s It Like to Use the Device?
Charging the Battery
The Aspire Reax Mini comes with a USB charging cable and supports a maximum charging current of 2 amps. If you charge the Reax Mini through a computer’s USB port, you’ll get the 2-amp charging current automatically. If you want to charge the device with a wall adapter, you’ll need to use a 2-amp adapter to get the maximum charging speed. Adapters that charge at 1 amp or 500 milliamps will also work. Don’t use a tablet or mobile phone charging adapter.
As you charge the device, the indicator light changes color to give you an idea of when the charge cycle will be complete. If the light is red, the battery is nearly dead. When you see a blue light, the device is half charged. If the light is green, the Reax Mini is almost done charging. You’ll see the same colors in reverse order indicating the status of the battery while you use the device. When the charge cycle is complete, the light will flash 20 times before turning off.
Vaping With the Aspire Reax Mini
The Aspire Reax Mini is suitable for use with mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung tanks, and it automatically adapts itself depending on the resistance of the connected atomizer coil.
If the resistance is 1.0 ohm or higher, the Reax Mini assumes that you’re using a mouth-to-lung tank and unlocks the full available range of wattage adjustments. Press the Mode button to cycle between the different wattage settings. In mouth-to-lung mode, the Reax Mini operates at 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 watts. An indicator on the bottom of the device shows the current wattage setting.
If the coil resistance is below 1.0 ohm, the Reax Mini operates in bypass mode and automatically sends the battery’s full available power to the coil. Though bypass mode does bypass the Reax Mini’s power regulation circuitry, it doesn’t bypass the device’s safety features. You’ll still get protection from short circuits and overheating.
Getting the Best Performance With the Aspire Reax Mini
The Aspire Reax Mini works with a wide variety of different tanks, and it’s appropriate for beginning and advanced vapers alike. Because of the range of possibilities with this device, though, it’s worthwhile to discuss how to get the best possible experience with the Aspire Reax Mini if you’re new to vaping.
If you’re a newer vaper, you’ll likely prefer a tank that allows you to inhale the vapor from your mouth to your lungs as if you were smoking. As previously mentioned, the Aspire Tigon tank – with the 1.2-ohm coil and narrow mouthpiece installed – is an excellent tank for mouth-to-lung inhaling. The Aspire Nautilus 2S is also a strong choice. You can identify a mouth-to-lung tank by looking at its mouthpiece. If the mouthpiece is narrow like a cigarette filter, It’s a mouth-to-lung tank.
The second important point to consider is the nicotine strength of your e-liquid. If you’re upgrading to the Aspire Reax Mini from a high-nicotine pod vaping system such as the JUUL, you may want to use a nicotine salt e-liquid. The vapor production of the Reax Mini is much greater than that of the JUUL, though, so you may want to use a lower nicotine strength such as 18-25 mg if you’re going to use the Reax Mini with a mouth-to-lung tank. With a direct-to-lung tank, you’ll get much bigger vapor clouds and should compensate by using an e-liquid with a lower nicotine strength such as 3-6 mg.
